Inside you will find a hive of industrious activity, with a wonderful array of amazing dresses and outfits being expertly made by talented dressmakers and seamstresses. Like magic they are sewn together with beautiful hand finishings, and tiny delicate details.
Our studio has an outstanding choice of garments available that are not included for sale in our on-line shop. You will find many beautiful one off pieces that are ready to wear or can be altered to fit you perfectly.
We also have an extensive range of luxurious fabric on hand for a special tailor made piece. Bespoke items originating from your ideas, drawings and dreams can also be cleverly cut and intricately made just for you.
We specialize in occasion wear for the curvaceous woman who loves fashion and feeling fabulous!
Carolyn's adorable, scruffy old dog, Buttons, comes to work with her everyday. She is a labradoodle, doesn't shed hair, and gets brushed regularly, however, if you are allergic to dogs and would like to pop in to see us, please let me know and I will leave her at home! She is very friendly, loves meeting everyone and for those of you who are dog lovers, she always has lots of kisses to give!
Opening Times
The studio is open Monday to Friday from 9am – 5pm for general calls. The dressmakers are always busily working away and can give limited assistance. To look more extensively at our range of clothes, however, or to have a specific item made, it is highly advisable to call and make an appointment for a specific time with Carolyn to ensure that she is on hand to assist with your requirements.

Monday to Friday : 9am – 8pm.
Weekends : 10am – 5pm.
Carolyn appreciates that many of her clients are flying in from overseas, or coming long distances to London for appointments. She is therefore happy to make arrangements outside these hours to fit in with tight schedules!

How to find the studio.
The Carolyn de la Drapiere Studio is a little hidden secret, for even though we are in Central Barnes, we are slightly concealed behind a row of shops.
The quickest way to find us is to locate the hair dressing salon called 'Making Waves' – Number 54 Church Road. Walk literally around the corner behind the hairdressers and you will find us in the top far corner above the mechanics and the other little workshops.
Parking is available along Church Road and also Bracken Gardens.
